Our staff consists of exceptional young people who have been ve
ry carefully chosen based on their qualifications, personality, maturity and sense of responsibility.
Most of our staff have themselves been Arrowhead campers, and have 'grown up' with us. All are certified in First Aid and CPR.
All Arrowhead staff have as their goal the safest and happiest camp experience possible for every camper. Because our counsellors are also instructors in one of our activities, they get to know every camper.

Peggy Stewart- Health Care & Camp Nurse
Hello, my name is Peggy and I am the nurse at Arrowhead Camp for the 26th consecutive summer. My dog Bailey also spends his summers on the Lake of Bays with me. You can find me at Camp down in the big white cabin!
Beth Holeschek- Junior Director
Hey everyone! I'm Beth and this is my 6th year on staff at Arrowhead. I have been spending my summers on the windy Lake of Bays for 13 years. This summer I will be the Junior Director at Camp. I am excited for this new and challenging position. During the winter I completed my Bachelor's degree at Dalhousie University in Neuroscience and Philosophy. I will be starting a Masters of Occupational Therapy this fall at McMaster University. My favourite part of Camp is sailing out on the windy lake. Something that you probably didn't know about me is that I coached a girls competitive hockey team in Halifax for three years and we won silver in the provincials twice!
Liza Marner- Program Director
Hi my name is Liza and this is my 9th year at camp! This year, my fourth year on staff, I am the Program Director. When I am not at Camp I am studying Kinesiology at the University of Western Ontario. I come back to Camp every year because of the constant laughter, smiles and the overall good times, wew! I am excited to create more great memories with great friends in the summer of 2012. Something you probably didn’t know about me is that this year I am going to study in Australia!
Nicole Dimond- LIT Director
Hey, I’m Nicole one of the LIT directors for the summer of 2012! I have been coming to Arrowhead for 12 years and this is my fourth year on staff. I spend my winter studying conservation biology at the SUNY. I love Camp because I am always meeting new people and I get to see old friends year after year. As the LIT director this summer, I am excited to watch my LITs develop into strong leaders. Another staff member, Carolyn Munro, and I share a crazy fact in that we both were on the front page of the newspaper the day we were born! Scroll down to Carolyn to read about her.
Ben Hayes- LIT Director
Hello, I’m the other LIT director for this summer, Ben. This is my fourth year on staff at Arrowhead and my 11th summer at Camp! In the off-season I spend time studying Criminology and playing lacrosse at the University of Toronto. This year I started an herb garden at Camp and like to spend my down time looking after the herbs. This summer I am looking forward to creating and forming great LITs who will potentially be future counselors. Although this is up for debate, I believe I am the best road hockey goalie at Camp!
Laura Cooley- Arts Director
Hey there, it’s Laura the Arts Director for the summer of 2012! This year, my fourth year on staff, I will be crossing a milestone of 10 years at Arrowhead! During the year I study film at Queen’s University. I think Camp is great because of all of the amazing people who come back year after year. In my Arts Director position I am excited to continue to expand the theatre program, as well as offering more variety in choice activities this summer. Something interesting I did this year was going backpacking around Europe in the spring!
Alex McNulty- Property and Day Camp Director
Hey I’m Alex, and I am your day camp director as well as property manager for this summer. I have now been coming to camp for 12 years, 4 of those years spent on staff. When I am not at camp, I am living in Ottawa in my 3rd year of Civil Engineering Tech. My favourite part of camp is definitely the early morning fishing, and the people I get to spend my summers with. I am a handy man, and am very excited for all the cool things I will be building this summer including a catapult! In case you were wondering, on my 20th birthday I ran a ½ marathon in 1:57, I’ve beat Super Mario twice and I am the official owner of the infamous camp rat, Chad Pennington.
Taylor Bradshaw- Music and Co-Sports Director
Hello, my name is Taylor and this summer, my 3rd on staff, I am doing dual-duty as both the Music Director and a member of the sports staff team. My winter home is in Toronto where I am currently studying at Ryerson University. During my 6 years at Arrowhead the best parts have always been the environment, the people, the laughs, the memories and the Camp lifestyle. For the upcoming summer I can’t wait to get to know all of the other staff and go star watching. An interesting fact about me is that my first kiss was captured on video when I was six! Michael Burdt- Senior Floater
Hey kids, I’m Mikey B., I am celebrating my 4th year at camp as well as my 4th year on staff. I am from Aurora and am studying child and youth work at Seneca college. My favourite part about camp is seeing the smiles on the kids’ faces and knowing that I made an impact! I am very excited to embrace all aspects of camp. A fun fact about me is that I have a black belt in karate. HIYA!

Priya Khanmaini- Sailing Director
Hello, I’m the Sailing Director for the summer of 2012, Priya! This is my 3rd year on staff and 6th year at Arrowhead. During the non-camping season I spend my time studying Health Science at the University of Western Ontario. The best part about being at Camp is the welcoming atmosphere, making new friends and seeing old friends too. I know this summer is going to be great because of my exciting new position, the new memories that will be made and because Camp will be a good old time. An interesting fact about me is that I ran a half-marathon in the spring.
Leah Hayes- Sail Staff
Hey everyone, I’m Leah and this summer is my 2nd year on staff and 11th year at Arrowhead. I spend my days out on the lake in sailboat teaching campers how to sail. This fall, I will be starting to study science at Queen’s University. I love coming back to Arrowhead because of my friends and sailing. This summer I am excited to continue sailing, spend time with my friends and create even more good memories. An interesting skill that I have acquired is the ability to drive standard!
Claire Christie- Sail Staff
Hi my name is Claire and this is my first year as staff at Arrowhead Camp although I have been coming for 7 years. You can find me out on the lake catching the wind in my sails. I am about to enter my final year of high school when I return home at the end of the summer. The best part about being at Camp is spending time with my summer family. Summer 2012 is going to be great because I get to spend it on the lake with campers and staff. Something most people don’t know about me is that I built a house in the Dominican Republic!
Erin Poter- Sail Staff
Hello, I’m Erin and this is my first year on staff. This is my 9th year at Arrowhead and I am a part of the sailing staff team. After my last year of high school next year I hope to go to Queen’s University and study Commerce. I love to come back every summer because of all of them people and enthusiasm at Camp and also just having fun on the activities! In my new position as sail staff I am excited to teach sailing, get to know all of the staff and form a closer relationship with them. I have officially mastered the art of sailing backwards as well!

Eamonn Corrigan- Co-Waterfront Director
Hello, my name is Eamonn and I will be acting as Waterfront Director this summer. This is my 3rd year on staff and my 7th summer spent up at my second home. Alike my fellow waterfront director Carolyn, I am in my second year studying Concurrent Education at Trent University. My absolute favourite program at camp is Capture the Flag but I enjoy all Minor and Major Programs. This summer, I’m looking forward to being in a new leadership position in which I will get the opportunity to try new things. Surprisingly enough, I have many interesting hobbies that include waterskiing, astronomy, swimming, rock-climbing and music.
Laura Turcotte- Co-Waterfront Director
What’s up guys! I’m Laura and I am one of the Waterfront Directors for this summer. I am celebrating my 10th year at Arrowhead this year and am 3rd year staff. I am from Markham, but am studying Health Science and Nutrition in my 2nd year at Western. My fav part of camp is being able to spend 9 weeks outside with the Arrowhead family. Although we do have a great horseback riding program I am absolutely terrified of horses!
Carolyn Munro- Co-Waterfront Director
Oh hey didn’t see you there, my name’s Carolyn and I’m one of three Waterfront Directors for this summer. I have spent 6 amazing summers at camp and 3 years on staff. I live in Ottawa, but am going into my second year studying Concurrent Education at Trent University. I love camp for the hilarious memories that stay with me forever. I am excited to be in a new position this summer and I look forward to meeting new friends. Like my friend Nicole, I was on national television on the day that I was born!
Will Crosson- Swim Staff
Hi guys! I’m Will, a 1st year member of the swim staff team for this summer. I live in Barrie and am going into grade 12. I am stoked to be able to spend my entire summer on the waterfront and have the opportunity to meet new campers. I love music of all sorts and in my spare time I play the violin and the banjo.
Claire Phelps- Swim Staff
Hey there, I’m Claire and this is my first year being a member of the swim staff team at Arrowhead Camp although this is my fourth year at Camp. I spend the colder seasons at home in Guelph where I will be finishing high school this year. I love coming to Camp because I get to spend the summer outside and I get the opportunity to try new things. I am excited for this summer because I am going to get to know all the campers and have a great lifeguarding experience. Something you probably didn’t know about me is that I enjoy snorkeling and would love to someday learn how to scuba dive.
Spencer Garel- Swim Staff
Hi, I’m Spencer and I am very excited to by joining the Arrowhead Staff crew this summer. This is my fourth summer at Arrowhead and I keep coming back because of the amazing all day programs that happen on the weekend during 2 week sessions. During the winter I can be found in Toronto where I am going into my last year of high school. Summer 2012 will be even better than the last because I am on swim staff and get to work with all of the awesome staff members. A cool fact about me is that I am a second degree black belt in karate, HIYA!

Matt Teague- Powersports Director
Hey pals, it’s your Waterski Director for summer 2012, Matt! I have hit an exciting milestone at Camp as this is my tenth year at Arrowhead and third year on staff. During the rest of the year I can be found studying Psychology at Wilfred Laurier University. My most favourite part of Camp is the great family environment and watching everyone develop as people. This summer I am looking forward to taking a leadership role on staff and doing my best to make everyone around me a better person. You might like to know that not only do I love playing guitar but I also hope to one day become the General Manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Go leafs go!
Cole Moro- Powersports Staff
Hi, I’m Cole, a member of the waterski staff team for a second year. This is my 6th year at Arrowhead and when the summer is finished I will be heading to the University of Western Ontario to study Kinesiology. The best part of being at Camp, for me, is waterskiing in the early morning when the lake is super calm and no other boats are out. I couldn’t wait to come back to Camp this summer to see my friend Marty (scroll down to see his info!). You probably didn’t know that I actually lived in Hawaii for a while and two years ago I ran with the Olympic torch!
Kyra Chisholm- Powersports Staff
Hey! I’m Kyra and I am 2nd year ski staff! This is my 7th year at camp, and after this summer I will be taking a year off from school. I love camp because of the people and the awesome vibe all summer. I am excited to get lots of campers out skiing for their first time. Not only do I love camp in the summer, but one of my favourite things to do in winter is to go winter camping!
Tristan Fowler- Powersports Staff
Hey, I’m another member of the waterski staff and my name is Tristan. I have been coming to Arrowhead Camp for 12 summers and this is my first summer on the staff team. In the fall I will be starting my last year of high school. I keep coming back to Camp every summer because of the amazing people that I meet. The summer of 2012 will be even better because I am excited to make everyone’s experience on waterskiing the best that it can be! During my spare time I love to BMX, longboard and snowboard as much as I can.
Josh Feldman- Powersports Staff
Hello, my name is Josh and this is my 4th year at Arrowhead. This is my first summer as staff at Arrowhead and you can find me out on the lake teaching campers how to waterski. I live in Toronto when I am not at Camp and I am going into my last year of high school. The part I love most about Camp is being able to relax and spend time with all of my friends from Camp. I am excited to teach campers how to waterski and have fun with both the staff and campers during the summer of 2012. Something I like to do, even at Camp, is make hip-hop music with my friend Matt. Devan Vasile- Canoe Director
Howdy, my name is Devan and I am the Canoe Director for this summer. I have spent the last 13 summers at Arrowhead and have been a member of the staff team for 3 years. During the year I am busy at the University of Western Ontario studying visual arts. My favourite part of Arrowhead is making friends and dressing up for programs. This summer I am looking forward to working in a new position and making everyone’s summer enjoyable. For those of you who didn’t know, I am obsessed with country music!

Hi there, I am Sara and this is my second year as a member of the canoe staff team. I have been spending my summers at Arrowhead for the past 7 years. This fall I am starting to study Economics at Queen’s University. I love being at Camp because of the people and canoeing on the lake. The summer of 2012 will be great because I can reconnect with old friends but also meet lots of new ones. Something interesting about myself is that I’ve participated in OFSAA.
Megan Briggs- Canoe Staff
Hi, I’m Megan and I’m a member of the incredible canoe and kayak staff. This is my first year on staff but my fourth year coming to Arrowhead. I just finished up grade 12 and look forward to studying a General Bachelor of Arts at Guelph University in the fall. I love coming to camp for the beautiful waterfront and lake that keeps me cool on all those hot days. I am most looking forward to spending my entire summer at camp for the first time! Some of my hobbies include swimming, out-tripping and anything else that involves the outdoors!
Matt Thurton- Canoe Staff
Hey, my name is Matt and I will be working on canoeing this summer. I have spent 6 great years at camp and this is my first summer working here. I’m from Toronto where I’m going into grade 12 at St. Michael’s College. I’d have to say that my absolute favourite part of camp is All-Day Program because it’s great to see everyone get involved and enthusiastic! This summer, I look forward to becoming a member of the staff community because it feels just like a second family. Something interesting about myself is that I write hip-hop music in my spare time.

Stewart Wilson- Co-Sports Director
Hey guys, my name is Stewart and this year I am your sports director. This is my 3rd year on staff at Arrowhead Camp but my 12th summer on the Lake of Bays. When the colder weather rolls around I am studying business at Laurier University. Personally, I love everything about Camp. Seriously, what is there not to love? This summer is especially exciting for me because of all the new staff and activities we have going on for the 40th anniversary. Interesting fact is that my father looks like Tom McClair.
Marty Wood- Sports Staff
Hello, I’m Marty and I am a second year member of the sports staff team. This is my sixth summer on Ten Mile Bay at Arrowhead Camp. This year I am taking a break before starting my post-secondary education but in the future I want to be a teacher. The best parts of being at Camp are the amazing friends, great programs, and the fabulous memories. This summer is very exciting because I get to see my friends and I get the chance to enjoy nature. I bet most of you didn’t know that I speak French and love comic books.
Andrea McNulty- Sports Staff
Hello, my name is Andrea. This is my second year on staff and my tenth year attending Arrowhead. I just graduated grade 12 and in the fall I will be starting at Algonquin College for social services. My favourite part of Camp is seeing all the same campers return to Camp no matter how old they are, and how the include all of the new campers. I am excited for summer 2012 because I get to work with all my best friends and teach a whole group of kids exciting new levels and activities. A fun fact about myself is that I coach a nine year old boys competitive hockey team.
Jamie Dimond- Sports Staff
What is up! My name is Jamie and this is my 11th year at Arrowhead. I am first year sports staff, from Lockport, NY. Once the summer is over I will be in grade 12 finishing up my high school years. My favourite part of camp is the minor programs we play each evening as well as the great new friends I make each summer. I am super excited to play Ultimate Frisbee with the campers. An interesting fact about me is that I am a vegan.
Megan Harvey- Sports Staff
Hi friends! I’m Megan, a member of sports staff this summer. This is my 3rd year at camp and 2nd year on staff. I spend the off season in Thornbury and have just finished up high school this past year. I love camp because of all the amazing people here and the welcoming atmosphere. In February 2013 I will be going on a huge adventure and climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, can’t wait!

Eric Jacobs- Biking Director
Hey what’s up? I’m Eric and I am the Mountain Biking director for summer 2012. This is my 3rd year on staff and I am from Rockland County, NY. I just graduated from high school and will be studying Computer Information Systems at Buffalo State College in September. I keep coming back to camp all the way from NY because I love getting away from the city for the summer and being in the fresh outdoors with the campers. I am very excited to take advantage of the outdoor environment we have here at Arrowhead. In my spare time I love to race boats.
Nick Amlin- Biking Staff
Heyo I’m Nick and I am starting off my camp career on biking and nature staff this year. Holy moley, I can’t believe I have been coming to camp for 8 years now! I am so happy to be spending my summer before grade 12 at camp because I get to spend time with my friends that I only get to see once a year, as well as teach campers how to bike. In my spare time I love to play and watch baseball and do trick shots with Frisbees.
Jordana Bengall- Nature Staff
Hello there, my name is Jordana and I am bringing back the Nature Program this year! I have been embracing my love for nature here at camp for the past 7 years and am so happy to finally be first year staff. I live in the GTA and am going to be finishing up highschool this coming year. I love camp because no matter what, everyone is welcome at Arrowhead. I have never been at camp in August so I am very excited to meet a whole bunch of new campers next month! Just in case you are wondering, I am learning how to juggle in my spare time!

Carla Galceran- Day Camp Staff
Hola! My name is Carla and I am part of day camp staff for the 2nd year. For the past 4 summers I have travelled to camp from Barcelona, Spain to spend time with my friends from Canada. I will be starting university in September in Barcelona. I can’t wait for all the new experiences and camp memories that will be made this summer. An interesting fact about me is that I can speak 5 different languages.
Maddie Thiffault- Day Camp Staff/Camp Nanny
Hey guys! I’m Maddie, the camp nanny for summer 2012. This is my 6th year at camp and my first year on the staff team. I am going to be in grade 11 starting in September but I can’t wait to spend the entire summer outside with awesome weather and fabulous people! My favourite thing to do in my spare time is ride my horse.

Kelsey Vasile- Kitchen Manager
Hi everyone, it’s me Kelsey, the kitchen manager for summer 2012 at Arrowhead Camp. I have been here for 16 summers and for five of those I have been on staff. You can find me studying dram at Queen’s University during the winter time. I keep coming back to Camp every summer because of the sense of family that I feel. Summer 2012 is exciting for me because I am in a position that is not only brand new to me but to the Camp in general. You might find it interesting to know that I have a photo with William Shatner and I know how to dougie.
Kate Wilson- Food Service Staff
Hi, I’m Kate and this is my 11th summer at Arrowhead Camp but my very first on staff. I am spending the summer of 2012 in the kitchen preparing all of the amazing food. I will be going into my last year of high school this fall. I have always loved that camp friends are best friends and the people here are amazing. This will be my first time spending the entire summer at Camp which has me very excited. Interesting fact about me is that I am a hockey player!

Hello hello! My name is Rob Prittie and this is my 6th year at camp, spending my first year on staff in the kitchen. I will be in grade 12 this coming school year. My favourite part of camp is the infamous tuna, and I am so excited to be part of the 2012 staff team. A fun fact about me is that I am left handed.
